Malaysia International Fireworks Competition

A great event is coming near you soon at Putrajaya. Where a musical and fireworks are combined and performed in front of thousands of spectator in a historical event of the year. This is done in conjunction of our 50th Merdeka year. What other activities are good to celebrate then watching this great event eh? It is called the MIFC which stands for Malaysia International Fireworks Competition with Australia, Japan, Italy and Malaysia are going to compete for the Merdeka trophy.

The details are as follow:

2. The date is from 18th August – 2 September 2007

3. This has not been confirmed yet but the programme is basically

7.00pm – Radio Global – DJ’s blast away the cobwebs and set the mood – and keeps everybody up to speed with whats going on.

10.00pm – Malaysia International Fireworks Competition Build up – pick your spot and get ready to watch the fireworks

4. Tickets are available at a PRICE: RM 38.50-181.50. 20% Discount for Maybank & Amex Cards. Only available at outlets : Sunway Pyramid& Ampang Point (For more details please call +603 7880 7999)

Some say if you dont want to pay just go to the lake side and get your own free sitting.

5. Dont forget to bring your camera!

6. Leave plenty of times to search for parking because its going to be crowded. (better use your scooter)

7. Small hyperactive children are allowed to be tied using man made rope like tarik lembu sort of

8. Bring your own food and drink if you dont want to kena ‘cekik darah’

9. You know why the opening is made on that 18th of August? Coz its my birthday :)

As in my older post, a firework competition is being held for few days up till the 2nd of September. I came around 1/2 hour before the event started. It was crowded and I quickly went to find a good place to place my camera and wait. So for people who did not go to see on the opening day, you missed the fun. But dont worry still got few days more.   5. The lousy organizer (Global2000 Sdn Bhd, never heard of it b4) last day put a web overlay to indicate a time change on 30 Sept.. push it to 12:00AM..

    The original schedule (in graphic) has no changed.. what a lousy planner…
